C40's Heat Resilient Cities: Measuring the benefits of urban heat adaptation
Even if you are unable to join the campaign, you can still help us collect data about heat in Harris County and Houston and start using ISeeChange today! What you see change in your backyard, neighborhood, and city is important to our understanding of how climate change and weather affect our communities. Your observations and block-by-block insights can help cities, engineers and local organizations advocate for and create solutions to climate challenges.
The ISeeChange app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, in both English and Spanish.
NOAA's Heat Beat newsletter provides information for individuals and groups who are concerned about extreme urban heat in their communities. Subscribers will get ideas for running and publicizing heat-mapping campaigns, and learn from others about ways urban heat issues can be addressed. The newsletter is distributed weekly during "heat season," and occasionally the rest of the year.
